New mobile services push the boundaries

Multimap’s Storefinder4Mobile application puts “traditional” web-based Storefinder search into consumers’ pockets: “Where’s my nearest car dealer? …property for sale? …Wi-Fi Hotspot?”

Multimap2Mobile allows consumers to push a map from the web to their mobile device; this is a simple mechanism to replace the printed map.

Multimap works with most major network providers, across many countries, to provide a customer-branded solution that reaches all of your consumers. In addition to direct use by consumers, the services can be used by call centers and other consumer-facing departments to deliver the right help and information where and when consumers need it.

Multimap2Mobile features

• Consumers search for a map or their nearest location using the web, and use the Multimap2Mobile service to push the map to their mobile devices.
• Consumers view a full-color map, and zoom in or out, during a WAP session on their mobile devices.
• Templates allow messages to be configured for each SMS and WAP element (including a confirmation message to the handset before sending the map).
• Customer logos and billing options are configurable.
• Service is easily added to Multimap’s existing mapping or locator services.

Storefinder4Mobile features

• Consumers can search for stores, dealers or other locations by a “known” location (e.g., postal/ZIP code or place name) or be automatically positioned by network cell ID.
• An SMS containing location details is sent directly to the consumer’s mobile device.
• Consumers can then request a map and additional locations, and zoom in or out.
• Maps can be served using WAP-push, MMS, or client-side applications built on J2ME, Flashlite, and .net.
• Multiple branded icons and map styles available.
• M-Commerce opportunities, including coupons or barcodes for lead-generation and validation, are available.

Storefinder4Mobile is a “where’s my nearest?” service for people on the move.
